JoEllyn Caudle, 65 Delegate, has been teaching at New Bloomfield R-III School District near Jefferson City for 12 years but has been an educator for 18. She graduated with a degree in Social Studies Education from the University of Central Missouri. She has her Masters in Education degree from Lindenwood University. Before coming to New Bloomfield she taught at Laquey R-IV and Eldorado Springs. She currently teaches high school level classes in Modern World History, Geography, Contemporary History and Yearbook. She loves to travel and has been all over the U.S. as well as Scotland, France, and Canada.
Kelly Tillott, 65 Delegate, currently teaches at Waynesville High School in Waynesville, Missouri.
Peggy Dudley Boyer, TOY Chair, currently teaches at Meramec Valley Middle School in Pacific, Missouri.
Bill Gerling, DESE Liason, has been active in social studies education for the last forty-two years. He taught American history, government, world history, Advanced American history, and sociology in his teaching career. For the last eleven years Bill has been working with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. He has worked with a national project which developed social studies test items and professional development materials. For the last five years he has served as the Social Studies Consultant. He assists districts wiht their curriculum and has helped develop the End-of-Course tests in American history and government. He has also given numerous professional development workshops across the state and presentations at state social studies conferences.
Tom Heuertz, Museums Liason, is a retired Lee's Summit Missouri high school history and sociology teacher and district Secondary Social Studies Coordinator. He is currently an Education Specialist at the Harry S. Truman Library and Museum where he develops educational programs for students; in-services teachers from multiple states; conducts teacher college credited conferences, and presents at local, state and national conferences. He currently directs the popular experiential White House Decision Center for secondary students and adult learners in a West Wing setting. Tom holds an MA degree in history and currently teaches graduate level courses for local universities and directs the Professional Education Program in Missouri for Ottawa University. American history and social studies are his passion.
