Jordan McGaughey, 63 Delegate

Rockwood School District

Jordan McGaughey is currently serving as the K-12 Social Studies Coordinator for the Rockwood School District in St. Louis, Missouri.  In this role, Jordan works to facilitate curriculum development, delivers and coordinates professional development, and provides coaching and support for social studies teachers throughout the Rockwood School District.  Previously, Jordan taught for eleven years at Seckman High School in the Fox C-6 School District, where he taught Pre-AP United States History and Honors American Government while also serving as the Fox C-6 School District Instructional Support Specialist for Social Studies.  During the 2015-2016 School Year, Jordan was named Building Teacher of the Year at Seckman High School, District Teacher of the Year for the Fox C-6 School District, and a DESE Regional Teacher of the Year for St. Louis.  In 2017, Jordan as awarded the Milken Educator Award.  


Jordan attended Truman State University, where he obtained a Bachelors of Science in History and a Masters of Arts in Education.  Outside of the classroom, Jordan loves spending time with his wife Kayla, and loves traveling, running, exploring, and learning more about history each and every day.
