I teach sixth grade social studies in St. Louis Public Schools, where civic engagement serves as the foundation of my classroom. I believe social studies comes alive when students ask questions, share ideas, and begin to see how their voices matter in their communities.

As President, I look forward to working alongside educators across Missouri to strengthen social studies education for all students. I am especially excited to grow K–5 membership and create welcoming opportunities for elementary educators to collaborate, share ideas, and make civic learning engaging and meaningful from the earliest grades.
